Mezza9, Grand Hyatt Singapore
Grand Hyatt Hotel Singapore sits at the trendy pulsing heart of the city and offers a range of exciting cuisines to tempt the taste buds. The latest offering is "mezza9".

Nothing proves the truth of the Buddhist principle that all is impermanence for there is always something new in Singapore. No more so than in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, not satisfied with giving an already stimulating eating experience at the hotel's four existing restaurants they have added another eatery to the mix.

"mezza9"

mezza9 (sic) is a new and trendy restaurant offering pan-continental and global cuisine. Located, as the name suggests on the mezzanine floor it offers a choice of nine different and exciting eating and taste experiences from the grill, serving Western fare to an excellent sushi and sashimi bar well worth trying, a yakitori grill where shish kabob Japanese style is the order of the day; luscious chunks of chicken, fish, beef and vegetables are marinated in soy sauce and grilled to your choice.

The steam basket serves authentic Chinese food and probably the most popular of international cuisines Thai food. The seafood and crustacean selection is a tasty treat that loiters in the memory long after the degustation.

Now as if this is not enough the Grand Hyatt Singapore has added value in the shape of a splendid and diet busting patisserie forget the diet for one night and tuck into the delights on offer.

There is no need to be confined to one cuisine either for in this gastronomic tour-de-force it is possible to choose from all the fare on hand. Try the grill for Western-style spit-roasted herb marinated chicken, salmon, lamb cutlet or prime rib steaks with sauces to die for. Then move on to Asia with a medley from the steam basket prepared by our Chinese chefs try the steamed garoupa - delicious, or the wok-fried beef and other scrumptious delicacies of the world's favourite cuisine.

The Deli

Appetite not yet satisfied then the delicatessen and crustacean bar are tempting. The "deli" is dedicated to the finest of European delicatessen delights along with a wide range of seafood on display and ready to consume; oysters, lobster, crab, mussels, clams and prawns for the taking. And the Thai deli has the ever popular soft shell crab. What more needs to be said but yummy.

"mezzatea"

For a mega tea treat the "mezzatea" is must, every Saturday between 12 noon and 5.00pm lunch meets high tea for only S$35+++ (US$24, 17€) for adults and S$22+++ (US$15, 10€) for children.

"mezzamunch"

Sunday of course is a day to luxuriate and relax. From 11.30am to 3.00pm there is no better option than the "mezzamunch", an indulgence of sought-after deserts and popular sweet favourites.

Sweet Tooth at the mezza9

Relish the Grand Hyatt's home made ice creams and sherbets, the luscious chocolate fountain and a seemingly inexhaustible range of sweets and desserts. Included in the price is free flow "Mumm" Champagne and Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. It may be naught but by Jiminy it's good. Singapore $118 (US$82, 57€)

Dinner at mezza9

For Singapore $69++ (US$47, 34€) a dinner plus wine is served and the choice of wines, appetisers and main course exhaustive.

Mezza9 at the Grand Hyatt Singapore is one restaurant that is not to be missed for its range of different foods and drink and for the relaxed and stylish surroundings.
