Great Deals for Luxury Hotels

Saving money on luxury hotels and resorts helps stretch your travel budget.

Planning a trip to New York City or Miami? There are good deals for reduced rates at select luxury hotels in both. Not that it'll be cheap, but saving money is smart.

Perfect Escapes, the luxury hotel deals website, has a couple of new offers available for budget luxury travel in the upcoming months. These deals are exclusive to users of the website, which has no membership fee. They are relatively cheap deals at otherwise very expensive hotels and resorts.

One, The Benjamin in New York City, starts at $309/night for a luxury one-bedroom suite with breakfast and a spa discount. I checked on Expedia, and the equivalent at the Benjamin is listed there at $360. This offer is valid through through to March 31, 2007. The Benjamin is a luxury hotel on East 50th Street; Times Square is a quick cab ride away, but this hotel is not in the middle of all that hubbub. Something I especially like about this hotel is that there is a "sleep concierge." (You read that right.) The sleep concierge helps guests choose from eleven different types of pillows for your room. If, like me, you've had a history of problems with hotel pillows, you know what a smart idea this is!

The other great luxury hotel deal is actually at two sister hotels; the Diplomat Country Club, and the Westin Diplomat Resort, both in Miami. Both start at $630 a night. Now, this may not sound like a cheap deal for the budget minded traveler, but keep in mind that these offers include a round of golf at the 5-star golf course at The Diplomat (which starts at 200 bucks a person normally), and a 50-minute massage treatment at The Spa at the Diplomat County Club. Both are 5-star hotels, with every high-end amenity a luxury traveler expects from a resort. Both the deal at the Westin Resort and the deal at the Diplomat Country Club are good until December 30, 2007. That leaves you plenty of time (as of this writing) to plan your Miami luxury golf vacation.

Luxury vacation plans, whether in bustling midtown New York City or on coastal Florida golf and spa resorts, are by nature pricey. Good deals on hotels really help stretch your travel budget.
