Luxury villa rentals are a convenient way to have an upscale, private family vacation. Casa Cusenza, a beach front villa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is just such a place.
Luxury travel fans increasingly go to the Pacific Coast of Mexico for upscale vacations. Puerto Vallarta has been a Mexican vacation destination for years, but true luxury family vacations in Puerto Vallarta involve renting villas. One such luxury villa rental in Mexico is Casa Cusenza. The care and loving attention that has been paid to the design of this rental villa is striking. Glass walls bring the natural beauty of the Mexico beach side spot indoors, and moden amenities ensure that a family with young children will have all needs met.
The Villa: Casa Cusenza is a smaller, very luxurious property managed by Sanctuare, a reputable company with small hideaway resorts across the world. The luxury villa is a drive south of downtown Puerto Vallarta, in a quiet, serene vacation area of Mexico. Old Vallarta's shopping, restaurants and galleries are a 15-minute drive away. Four master suites in two different houses make up the luxury rental villa's sleeping quarters. There are many water features; besides a pool and waterfall, a creek runs through the property. Only one family, of up to eight guests, may rent this luxury villa at a time.
Dining: Guests at the luxury rental villa supply Casa Cusenza with their food preferences prior to arrival. The management arranges the lunch and dinner menus with these in mind. Breakfast is typically cereals, fruits, and breads, prepared Mexican cuisine and a la carte orders of eggs. International cuisine is standard, with an emphasis (naturally) on Mexican food. There will likely be days when guests of the villa spend a day in town. Puerto Vallarta, a short drive north of the villa, has many restaurants from which to choose.
Activities: Casa Cusenza's beach front is along a private inlet with small, child-friendly waves. Children can learn to snorkel right off the villa beach, in clear Pacific Ocean water. The villa manager can arrange other activities for guests, such as tennis, golf, deep-sea fishing and yachting. Water taxis are available for transport to other nearby beaches (with more waves), such as Las Animas, Punta Mita, and Quimixto. Las Animas is a bustlling port, with tour boats pulling in and out, and bars and restaurants. Punta Mita is 26 miles from Puerto Vallarta, and has long been a quiet, remote getaway beach. The opening of a new Four Seasons there should change the getaway atmosphere. Quimixto has a lovely waterfall, but family groups should consider renting a horse for this.
Sanctuare is a boutique company, and very choosy. There are less than twenty-five elite rental villas available through Sanctuare, each the epitome of a luxury vacation in an exotic locale. Casa Cusenza, one of only two Sanctuare rental villas in Mexico, provides for the ultimate in an elite luxury villa rental vacation.
