Lush, the bath and body care company, has many organic and creative products. A Lush innovation is the "bath bomb." This reviewer enjoyed researching several of them.
Lush, the hand-made organic bath and body products shop, is really taking the world by storm. While Lush has been around for years, heightened consumer awareness may be due to its constant innovation. One of the company's more creative and original ideas is called the "bath bomb." Bath bombs are larger than similarly-shaped bath oil capsules that you may be more familiar with, and Lush takes pride in having as many ingredients be organic as possible.
Made to fit comfortably in a cupped hand, bath bombs typically start with a busy bubbling that eventually calm down to a soothing fizz, as the bomb slowly dissolves in your bath. All ballistics have bath oils, some have bath salts. Some also contain non-water soluble ingredients, the most common being very fine glitter. It is difficult to judge a bath bomb by in-store scent alone, as often the layers within bath bombs contain different potencies of different scents. Because of the organic nature of the ingredients, Lush suggests freshness or "use by" dates. It's hard to imagine a bath bomb sitting in a medicine cabinet for long, however! Take it from an addict: Once hooked, it's hard to resist using bath bombs within a week of purchase.
Here is a list of bath bombs sampled by this eager reviewer:
Butterball bath bomb: This was the first bath bomb I tried, and it took perhaps 5 minutes to completely dissolve in a warm bath. Little bits of softening cocoa butter within the bomb take their time dissolving after the bulk of the bomb has dissipated. The subtle scent lingers on skin for hours after the bath.
Waving Not Drowning: This lavender-scented bath bomb smelled too strong in the store, but the Lush salesclerk assured me that the potency would be reduced upon use. She was right; the lavender was more subtle than not, and I almost fell asleep in the bath.
Karma bath bomb: The salesclerk told me that Lush is discontinuing this bath bomb, but it should be available online for a while. It consists of Lush's signature Karma scent, which I love as soap in my morning shower, but since I only take baths to relax in the evening, the orangey, citrus odor is counterproductive. However, anyone who partakes of wake-up baths may appreciate this orange-slice shaped bath bomb.
Big Blue: This is one of the ballistics that contain permanent solids. Big Blue has little bits of seaweed in it, which can be annoying to clean up. The company recommends that bath bombs of this type be dropped into a nylon wrap, to assure ease of clean-up. Big Blue turned my water a gorgeous, deep blue color which drained clean, fortunately, and I've used it twice. The sea salts and seaweed combine to truly lend a vicarious beach-going experience to the user.
Black Pearl: Unabashedly named for the Pirates of the Caribbean ship, this ballistic turns bath water grey, with a small amount of fine silver glitter. The glitter rinsed easily from my bathtub, yet stayed on my skin. I recommend the Black Pearl for morning baths, or before a night out on the town. Why waste all that glitter on your sheets? The smell is both floral and salty, not too feminine at all...and there is a "treasure" at the center of each of these bath bombs! Two points for whoever can identify the secret in the center of the Black Pearl first.
Tisty Tosty: Okay, I have to admit I was disappointed in this heart-shaped bath bomb. There are a bunch of dried rosebuds embedded within it, and watching them fall apart in the water didn't really add to my bath experience. I still am unclear as to why - with so many natural ingredients - the rose scent seemed artificial and fleeting.
Sex Bomb: This big ballistic is my current favorite, the salts and oils really have great skin-softening capabilities, and the scent - wow! Musky, sagey, and floral, the Sex Bomb smells great and turned my bath water opaque hot pink. There is a little rice paper flower in this bomb that went right down the drain. No fuss, no muss, and it's a good thing too; after a soak in a Sex Bomb bath, you want to enjoy the scent of your skin in ways that don't involve cleaning out your bathtub.
Avobath: This ballistic turned my bath avocado-green, and has glitter. Fresh avocado is a main ingredient of this ballistic, along with lemongrass and olive oils. My skin felt very soft afterwards, and the scent did not linger. I wasn't too crazy about this one, franky.
And there you have it! There are many other bath bombs made by Lush, some of which are seasonal. Obviously, I haven't tried them all - but we all need goals, don't we? If you have a bath bomb experience you'd like to add to this list, please feel free to join in the related discussion.

Okay - I used the Black Pearl ballistic. It was incredible! All mysterious, murky, sparkling depths. I couldn't stop playing with the water. Since my husband and I shared the bath, we both agree it was a really unique and luxurious experience.
HE was the one who picked out that bomb ffrom the store, BTW. And bought it with no prompting from me. Coolness. BTW - the message said, "The Healthy Soul is in the Healthy Body." We really liked the fizzy stuff. Dan held the bomb in his hand til it fizzed right out into nothingness.

I'm glad to hear you two had fun with the Black Pearl bath bomb! It's one of the less overtly feminine Lush products, scent-wise, and I've noticed a strong correlation between use of this bath bomb and my husband not being able to stop sniffing me. :) My Black Pearl message was, "7 steps back, 8 steps forward." Maybe I need to go onto a "Lost" website to decifer the meaning of those particular numbers! http://luxuryresorttravel.suite101.com

Jill Florio :
Maybe you should growl when your husband sniffs you. Before our bath, Dan and I washed Frodo (the Chihuaua) with Honey I Washed the Kids. He smelled delicious after that for days.
Well, it turns out he doesn't mind geting a bath but he HATES being sniffed. He actually growls gently at me when I do it, to let me know he really doesn't enjoy that. It's weird. I love being sniffed. What's with that?

I liked the Black Pearl. We got a ring around the tub but it cleaned off okay. Tonite we have a date to try the Sakura bomb. Have not tried the Sex Bomb but I hear that one is next. I'm not super into baths but it is nice to spend time together and then I just take a shower after.

Jill Florio :
Hi everyone. Dan and I tried the Sakura Ballistic tonight. It's a really really BIG ball, very pretty to look at with a subtle unisex scent. It takes a while to dissolve (we like to hold and play with them as they go off) and changes colors while it does. it also released salts that we caught as they burst off and scrubbed our arms with. It was fun and made the water very silken-like.
I prefered the Black Pearl because turned it the water very mysterious and sparkly. Sakura only made things dirty-gray colored, no fun there. And no "treat" inside. On the other hand, unlike Black Pearl, there's no bathtub ring either.
Anyway, Dan prefered the Sakura for the silky soft feeling water and nice scent. I liked the Black Pearl for the novelty of having a mysterious bath experience.
We've now decided to have Thursdays be bath day and will try different ballistics each week. Any ideas for next week? :)
Jun 9, 2006 9:27 AM
Jill Florio :
Oh, I wanted to add that Sakura also left the water so moisturized that I didn't have to run and apply lotion right after, as per my usual routine. And that was really rather nice - that I could just go about my business and not have the usual dry hands to tend to.

Jill Florio :
Hey! Tonite we are going to try Softy, which is being discontinued, but was supposeldy created in homage to the film American Beauty...full of rose petals.
Jun 15, 2006 8:36 AM
Jennifer W. Miner :
I didn't know you wre a fan of the rose petal bath concept. I hope you liked the Softy; you may also like Tisty Tosty, which comes with rosebuds. Seven of them, to be precise! :)
Jun 15, 2006 9:16 AM
Jill Florio :
Well, I like my bombs to do something, besides fizz, that is. I don't mind floaties. :)
Okay, so my review of last night's ballistic: Softy was the first Lush product I thought was a waste of money. No colored water, no scent at all, no real softening effect. Plus the petals were brown, slimey and limp...not what I had in mind for a romantic bath. This bomb is being discontinued and I can see why. Oh well. I will try Chelsea Gardens for the flowers next. I don't think I will try Tisty Tosty. You said it didn't have much scent and there is no color. The girls in the Bellevue Lush agreed with your review when I asked them about it.

Joy Butler :
Wow, I've never heard of all this! I'll have to look for them and give it a try. The Big Blue and also the glittery one sounds like fun...how long does the glitter stay on?
Jun 19, 2006 1:01 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
The glitter isn't like arts-and-crafts glitter; it's very fine. From my experience, it can last at least several hours, but most of the glitter from Lush products also drains right away, and rinses off promptly as well. It's a good look!
Jun 21, 2006 9:34 AM
Jill Florio :
Hi Joy. Last night we tried the <i>Big Blue</i> ballistic - i loved loved it! Turned the water tropical blue in a very deep and misty hue.
The seaweed eventually all sunk to the bottom, so neither me nor my tub was coated, but it did float at first for a fun effect.
I loved the salt inside and used it to scrub my upper arms and chest area. Amazing scent. We paired the Big Blue with the Sea Veg soap for an "Ocean Themed" bath. Highly recommended. :)
Jun 28, 2006 12:57 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
I LOVE the Big Blue! You may have noticed that it's a Big Blue I chose as the picture for the Bath Bomb article. The seaweed hasn't bothered me, but I can understand how it might annoy somebody. But, most women have one or two pairs of old nylons they can sacrifice to the cause of Better Bath Experiences! :)

Last night's date bath:
I was excited to try Bollywood - I like spicy scents, I like the idea of an indian balistic with a red jelly Bindi, plus I wanted to try this soon since it's been discontinued.
Disappointing result: not a spicy bath. It looked and smelled like bathing in Orange Crush (the soda). Dan said it was like Tang. Exactly. I just couldn't get past the tang/flat orange soda thing. Nothing subtle, no extra colors, no glitter, no salts.
It did have a cool little leaf hidden inside that I couldn't ID. And it really did "explode" more than bubble/fizz as most bombs do.
So I like the way this one looks and smells sitting pretty in my ballistic bowl...but won't be bathing in that one again.
Maybe better for kidlins?
Jul 1, 2006 10:09 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Since you didn't like Bollywood, I'm thinking you might also want to pass on the <a href="http://luxuryresorttravel.suite101.com/blogs.cfm#the_happy_pill_bath_bomb">Happy Pill bath bomb</a>. A lot of people really like the Happy Pill, though. Have you already tried it?
Jul 3, 2006 12:17 PM
Jill Florio :
I love citrus, I am just saying the Bollywood was straight orange crush. Which reminds me of sticky things and wasps and summer camp with bug juice. Just wasn't the bathing fantasy I had in mind. Ever been to summer camp???? :)
There are many kinds of citrus besides orange crush. And now I am done defending myself.
I love your blog on the free Happy Pill - I have earned two already and am halfway to my third free one. I love the way they foam. Sometimes I am more in the mood for foam than fizzies. :)

Well, Lush has a lot of bath bombs that I haven't even tried yet, but in the meantime, I <i>have</i> tried all of their non-seasonal bath melts. <a href="http://luxuryresorttravel.suite101.com/article.cfm/lush___bath_melts">Read about them here.</a> I love some, like some others, and don't really care for one. How about you?
Jul 21, 2006 4:19 PM
Christene Johnson :
I just tried the Lush experience. I like the Bohemian Soap (sharp lemon) for a brisk, wakening morning shower experience. My 14 year old daughter fell in love with the Romance in Stone bath bomb (there was a sonnet in it) and she smelled amazing.
I can't go in the store itself - all the overwhelming scents. I got a headache.
Jul 21, 2006 4:21 PM
Jill Florio :
Okay, tried Tisty Tosty and I actually liked it. That's probably b/c I knew in advance it would not have any special colors, hidden treats or a lot of smell. It was perfect for when I was feeling a little down one evening and needed a gentle pick me up.
<i> Here is my mini-review:</i>
<b>Tisty Tosty</b> - Not a bling-bling bomb like Sex Bomb and Think Pink, but a sweet heart-shaped ballistic. It looks old-fashioned, like something from a Victorian drawing room.
I liked the scent, which was more of a soothing one-note rose-water thing, than the usual "slap in the face Lush scent" that I might prefer on a more normal evening. No color in this white ballistic, but a nice foamy experience anyway. Nicely softening in the water; romantic in an understated way. Dreamy rather than stimulating.
I enjoyed the seven tiny rosebuds floating around me, and rescued them from the tub before they fell apart. I even dried them, and finally placed them in a translucent jar with my Lush Silky Underwear powder decant. It looks very pretty and adds to my powder experience.
Jul 24, 2006 12:32 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Y'know, Chris, I completely get it about the smell of a Lush store. It's a lot of divergent scents all crashing into each other in there! A couple of my friends refuse to go into Lush with me, they just stand sulkily in the doorway. :)
And I like Tisty-Tosty too, a little. I guess that when I'm in the mood for a bath bomb, it's usually because I'm in the mood for a Big Show, and I like the melts for when I'm wanting a more mellow bath experience. But what a good idea, to put the rosebuds in your Silky Underwear! I felt a little sad throwing those little guys out. I'll remember your idea, for next time!
Jul 24, 2006 8:14 PM
Jill Florio :
Yeah, I agree that I generally like my bombs to DO something. So far Big Blue is my fave, fave, fave. It has everything: bright ocean color, great scent, salt bursting out for softening and seaweed everywhere. And all goes down the drain. (I also love Black Pearl, but that one leaves a seriously messy tub ring.)
Tisty Tosty was just a nice gentle bomb for an evening I couldn't be bothered with any excitement. I guess that's why this older product is still in the lineup, since most things at Lush seem to get changed out so frequently. It was just a "nice" ballistic.
I have a review of the Karma bomb to add but will get to it later. Got to clean up the apartment while I have some energy left this evening. :)
Jul 25, 2006 12:29 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
I'm looking forward to your review! And I'll haveto enjoy the bath vicariously through you, as the Lush store near my is <b>closed</b> for 4 weeks, to install better air conditioning. My stash is shrinking! Fortunately I have people like you to help me through this trying time. :) Jen

Ginger Groves :
I found a new use for the Fizz Bomb. I was given one as a gift while visiting in Seattle. By the time I got home and my bag had taken a beating, my pretty pink Sex Bomb ball had deposited a fine dust in the bottom of the bag. Not wanting to waste even a gram of it, I put the dust in a small simmer pot I keep in the bathroom. This was day before yesterday, and even after adding water once, it's still giving off a beautiful aroma.
Jul 27, 2006 3:55 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
What a great idea, Ginger! I always love to hear about the different ways people think of to use their luxury bath products. And the Sex Bomb <b>does</b> smell great, you're right; why waste even a gram of it? By the way, in reference to your name, there used to be a Ginger Bath Bomb, but it was recently discontinued to make room for new items. Naturally I was out of town the day the Lush store near me gave them away for FREE! <eye roll> Jen
Jul 28, 2006 6:18 PM
Ginger Groves :
I've always had fun with my name. Last week Origins sent me an email touting their new line of "Ginger" products. Some of the discriptions were down-right suggestive:)for example; " Ginger feels wonderful when massaged over your body!!" "Discover the root of desire...Ginger" and my favorite.."Let the savory scent of Ginger go straight to your head." I'm so lucky:)))
Jul 28, 2006 8:42 PM
Jill Florio :
Oh my god. I am dying, dying I tell ya. That is too good. I can see it now. <i>"Let the savory scent of Jill go right to your head"</i>...ow, ow..my tummy hurts now. ;-p
I hope you posted those lines right on your vanity mirror as a reminder of being...er...desirable... :)

Kelby Carr :
I love the Origins ginger stuff... their salt scrub is just awesome, especially for dry winter skin. Of course, they don't have a Kelby line. What's up with THAT?
Aug 4, 2006 10:17 PM
Jodi Gallegos :
I'm a bit envious. I love baths and I love smelly, pretty things. Unfortunately, there are no Lush stores near me. We haven't even gotten a Body Shop in this town yet so I don't believe Lush will be here anytime soon.
Ho hum...back to the "Bath Products" shelves at my local Walmart.
Aug 6, 2006 4:06 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
I love Origins salts too, Kelby! It's practically the only bath product my spouse likes enough to use -- not too girly, I suppose. As for your name, hmmm(thinking), there <b>is</b> a kind of cucumber called a Kirby. Maybe we can petition Lush to come up with a "Kelby Cucumber Eye Soothener," or something. Odder things have happened! ;) Jen
Aug 6, 2006 4:09 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Jodi, not that you necessarily want to hear this, but <a href="http://www.lush.com">Lush</a> <i>does</i> have an active mail-order business. In fact, I may have to resort to ordering some bath bombs <b>soon</b>, because my local Lush store is closed for a renovation until at least mid-September. The horror! jen
Aug 7, 2006 9:08 AM
Jill Florio :
If you do place an order, Jen, I'll go in with you on a Ginger Bomb. I want to 'let the intoxicating scent of Ginger go right to my head'....(and a Kelby Cucumber eye product sounds like a great idea to me!)
Aug 7, 2006 3:54 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Ginger Bomb, Kelby Cukes...hmmm, maybe we luxury bath fans should start up our <b>own</b> line of self-named body products! I'll start cookin' up a batch of Shower Jillys right now. :) heehee Jen

Jill Florio :
well, I had saved the Hot Java bomb (another discontinued Lush item) for when I had unmanageable PMS cramps. So, here is the review:
This makes a pretty bomb for display and smells just wonderful when dry, too.
It was very pretty while dissolving, and dissolved more quickly than some bombs.
Made the water a nice deep smokey reddish-peach.
I didn't mind the big chunks of cinnamon. I retrieved a few of the pieces, let them dry, and added them to my homemade Bellevue Potpourri (after). I didn't find myself sitting on them or finding them poking me, as many of the forum lushies complain about Hot Java. But then again, I different people have different tubs.
Anyway, the spicy-ness was enjoyable but slightly irritating, so I didn't stay in the tub long. Each time I picked out the cinnimon bits my cracked cuticle would ache...so I wasn't sure i wanted an obvious irritant like that soaking into my privates. The spice did seem to make the heat of the tub last longer, though.
There was no red ring left behind in the tub - a plus.
A minus - no soothing salt or cocoa butter - this was more of a drying balistic. So i added a chunk of a Floating Island and that really made a difference, softening the water and making it a bit more luxurious.
Overall, I can't say if the ballistic helped the cramps (I did feel better for a bit after, but that could have been the bath in general. Since the spices made the water warmer longer, then I could say this bomb did help in that regard). Also, the bomb probably would have been a good one to use for late Fall or the Holiday Season, what with the cinnamon theme and deep orange-red colors.
If there are any left in my local shop, I think I will pick up a couple Hot Javas, put with my Xmas stash (along with my Red Rooster) and save for guests for the holidays.
I don't think I will use the bomb in the tub again but it's good for urging guests to give Lush bombs a go.
Sep 4, 2006 9:12 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Different opinions make the world go 'round! I picked up a Hot Java when I heard they were being discontinued, and now - I have to admit, I can see why. First of all, I forgot to "sock" it, and while they didn't bother you so much, I was very distraced by the cinnamon sticks poking my butt. Not a comfy bath! Second of all, to me it smelled exactly like Celestial Seasonings' Cinnamon Stick herbal tea, and with the hot tub water, I felt like I was soaking in a porcelain tea cup. True, the color was pretty and there was no ring around my tub, but neither was there skin-softening, and the clean up was annoying (I didn't think it would be a good idea to try to force those sticks down the drain). If I see anymore of these at my local store - when it reopens, heavy sigh - I'll buy them for you. It'll make me happy to know SOMEONE out there is enjoying a Hot java bath. :) Jen
Sep 5, 2006 12:18 PM
Jill Florio :
well, I didn't have a problem with the drain, b/c I retreived the cin sticks and put em in my potpourri. Free extras make me happy and so does reusing anything. the gift that keeps on giving... ;)
Also, since I addded floating island it made the water much much better. I would never use Hot java alone; the counter-irritants are...well...irritating, and it needs a softening agent.
maybe different tub configurations make people have different experiences, ie - scents, tub color, poking floaties? :)
I also LIKE the idea of soaking in tea. sounds sophisticated. What I didn't like was the Bollywood, soaking in bugjuice/tang sensation. The karma bomb made a better orange and spice than Bollywood.
naturally all three of these bombs we are dicsussing have been discontinued. LOL.
here is my extended Hot Java review at Living Simply:
http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art45676.asp
I basically elaborated on what I said here. :)
Sep 7, 2006 11:25 AM
Jill Florio :
have you used that one, BTW?
Sep 7, 2006 9:14 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
You mean the Bollywood? Nah. True story - I was in a commercial for Tang when I was 5 or 6, and to this day I can't smell the stuff without getting post-traumatic stress syndrome. :) So no, no Bollywood for me. Jen
Sep 8, 2006 11:25 AM
Jill Florio :
oh, right Bollywood. I wasn't too clear there. I did eat the candy in it. Tang commercial, huh? I was in a Pringles commerical at age 10 or something. I guess this explains why neither of us like junk food.
Sep 10, 2006 2:47 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Hmm? What's that you're saying? Sorry, I couldn't hear you, over the sound of this Reese's Peanut Butter Cup I'm eating. (wink) No news, by the way, on when my local Lush store is scheduled to reopen. If it's much longer, I'm going to have to resort to mail order! Jen

Jill Florio :
I just found out that my local Lush shop manager is flying donw to help your new manager train people for the Santa monica opening. Ins't that cool! You won't meet her - she will only be there behind the scenes. But it's still cool.
Sep 13, 2006 8:56 PM

Oh really?! Do you know <b>when</b>she's flying down? Because that might give me a clue as to hen the resopening could happen. :) Jen

she gave me a long spiel about fyling to boston and dallas and SM...so I don't know realy. I would guess later this month? Will ask if I see her.
Sep 22, 2006 1:04 PM
Jill Florio :
I used the brand new Dream On ballistic last night, and it was pretty darned nice. it's super creamy, full of lovely chunks of cocoa butter, and very soothing. it made the water kinda swirly with all the moisturing bits, the very very unobstrusive sparklees and the calm peach color.
the scent is the same as the Dream Cream, which is a nice lotion and wildly popular with Lushies. However it's not my personally-favorite scent to groove on. it's got a lavendar and calamine smell, which together smells a little medicinal - like a soft camphor-type thing.
Truth be told, the ballistic is marketed as a soothing remedy for irritated skin, so the smell makes sense.
I do like the effects of the ballistic - I didn't need a lick of lotion after my bath - so I might just think of a good cocktail option to improve the scent.
HMMM, what would not fight the lavendar but be strong enough to overcome the calamine? Not Floating Island (this doesn't need more moisture in any case). Maybe the Comforter Ballistic. That's a strong one note bubble bar. Comforter's blackberry smell should go okay with lavendar. I don't know. Or I could toss in Blue Skies - that would be very complimentary.
What do you suggest?
Sep 22, 2006 9:05 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
I like the Dream On - it's not in my Top 5, but it's a nice bomb. I don't remember smelling any calamine, or any BenGay-like off scents, though. There <b>is</b> chamomile, but that's more of a mild and sunny scent IMO.
I love how interested you are in getting the most out of your bath! Dream On is very softening; in terms of cocktails, I think I'd play up the rose end of things, since it's already so predominantly lavender. Have you considered mixing it with an Amandopondo or Bathos bubble bar? The Amandopondo is hugely rosy, and even comes with a cute rosebud in the top, while the Bathos (which I prefer by a slim margin) is mostly violet-scented, with rose undertones.
Both make massive amount of long-lasting bubbles, which I <i>LOVE.</i> But, if you're not in the mood for a bubble bath (makes it hard to read; the bubble piles can soak the bottom of your book), a buttercream called Ring of Roses might be up your alley. I've only had a small sample of one so far, but I mushed it and used it in a bath instead of shower, and I smelled like an English garden for hours. :) Your passion for Lush products impresses me, and I'm sure you know that you're not alone! Lush is a great company. Jen
Sep 23, 2006 9:49 AM
Jill Florio :
well truth be told I am not a lavendar fan. it smells like camphor to me. that actually has basis in truth, since lavendin has the same chemical components as camphor.
so i prefer to mask it if it's in a ballistic.
I do like to spray my bed down with lavendar linen spray to help with getting to sleep, but i dislike smelling it on my body. So i am not a huge Dream Cream lotion fan. I mean it works beautifully but I do not enjoy the scent.the nice thing about lavendar is that it does make a nice base for other things and will fade in to the background if cocktailed right. You are right that Amandopondo would be a great idea. :)
I totally love the other things you mentioned too! I think Bathos is my favorite, favorite bubble bar, with Green Day a close second. Amondopondo - so pretty. I do love rose scents.
I keep Ring of Roses Buttercream in my kitchen to wash food smells off my hands after cooking. it does a nice job cutting the grease and removing the mayo, garlic or whatever smells from my hands without drying them out like an actual "soap" would.
Sep 26, 2006 10:12 PM
Jennifer W. Miner :
Putting Ring of Roses by your kitchen sink is an inspired idea! Thank you; this is a tip I think I'll follow through on. Jen

Jill Florio :
Just used the Twinkle Ballistic, one of the xmas specials. It smelled wonderful - all American Cream-scented goodness but the effects were bland. barely any water color - a blue so pale it was nearly invisible. the sparkles were also easy to miss. there were no treats inside the bomb, and nothing very moisturizing. Really it was just a nice way to surround myself with American Cream scent (vanilla and strawberries with clary sage).
