» Sally Morton - Pizza experience

Jennifer: My son had a similar experience when he was young. He was choking on a big hunk of cheese and I had to do the same thing you did - reach in his throat and scoop the cheese out. My sister is still amazed at how calm I was and mentions it every once in a while. My son still remembers it. He was probably around five or six.

I love your articles. They are very interesting, although I don't get to travel much. Please point me to anything that is considered "budget" luxury. Is there such a thing? LOL.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Sally! I'm sorry about the long-ago scare with your son; obviously, I can relate. Cheese oughtta come with a warning! happy
And in terms of "budget luxury," people have a host of reasons for not traveling, but can still find luxury at home. I know that personally I love to "escape" in a long hot bath, with scented oils or salts added. Some bath treatments are pricey, but they sure aren't when you compare 'em to a week in the Caribbean!

Thanks for the link. You know what I'm going to try- some Dead Sea skin care/bath products. At our local mall, there is a kiosk and the lady did a presentation for me. She rubbed one of the dead sea salt scrubs on my hand and then rinsed it off. It really made my skin feel soft! But I was in a hurry (went in there actually to the music store) and I told her I would come back when I had more time and check out the line. It was this lovely Jewish lady selling the stuff. The way her skin was gleaming, they should have paid her extra just to stand there and be a great advertisement. Have you tried any of the Dead Sea products - can you recommend any? They're supposed to have special properties.

I laughed when I read your daughter's description what happened at the pizza shop, "I was eating pizza when Mommy stuck her finger in my mouth and choked me!" I nearly choked myself, too funny. I'm sure you were able to explain what she really meant!

Sally, how timely that you ask about Dead Sea salts. A friend of mine has been trying to get me to try a product line from Israel, and it may very well be the Dead Sea products you tried. Ahava is the product, and the word means "love" in Hebrew, and in Finnish it means "a dry and cool spring wind." (I didn't just know that, by the way, it was on a website!)
